Three days are enough to discover Agadir and its surroundings without rushing: one day in town, one on the surf coast and one in the hinterland. Here is the itinerary our local team recommends.
Day 1 β The bay and Oufella kasbah
Start with a walk along the seafront promenade beside the long beach, as far as the marina. In the late afternoon, take the cable car up to the Agadir Oufella kasbah: the view over the bay at sunset is the best panorama in town.
Day 1 (continued) β Souk El Had
Souk El Had is one of the largest markets in Morocco: spices, dried fruit, argan oil, crafts. Go in the morning when it is cooler, and remember it is closed on Mondays.
Day 2 β Taghazout and the surf coast
Head to Taghazout, about twenty minutes north. Take a surf lesson in the morning, have grilled fish for lunch facing the ocean, then enjoy the beach or a yoga session late in the day.
Day 3 β Paradise Valley
Spend the last morning in Paradise Valley, a palm-filled gorge about 35 km from Agadir. After a short walk, the natural pools invite you for a swim. Back in the early afternoon for a final moment on the beach.
Day 3 (evening) β Sunset camel ride
End your stay with a camel ride through the dunes and mint tea as the sun sets over the Atlantic.
